Variable Rate Application & Prescription Maps
Turn measured crop variability into a sprayer- or spreader-ready prescription file — built from your own field data, not an average.
Why blanket application leaves yield and money on the table
Most fields aren't uniform — soil type, drainage, and past management all create real variation in what a crop needs, patch by patch. Applying a single blanket rate across the whole field means some areas get more input than they can use, and others get less than they need. Variable rate application (VRA) corrects for that, using an actual measurement of crop condition rather than a guess.
From survey to prescription map
We start with a multispectral NDVI/NDRE survey of your field, then process the resulting management zone data into a prescription file — a shapefile or ISOXML application map — compatible with standard VRA software and most ISOBUS-compliant tractor and sprayer terminals. Load it onto your controller and the machine adjusts application rate automatically as it moves across the field.
For grass weed problems specifically, our weed detection service produces a dedicated spot-spray prescription that maps individual weed plants, rather than a general crop-health zone map — it's the right tool when the goal is herbicide targeting specifically.
SFI26 precision farming actions
Prescription maps built from our survey data provide the georeferenced evidence trail for SFI26 action PRF1 (variable rate application of nutrients). Weed detection prescriptions are designed to support PRF2 (£43/ha/year). Confirm exact eligibility with your adviser.
